POSITION SUMMARYThe Security Specialist will support the Office of Defense Nuclear Security (NA-70)/ Special Access Program (SAP), under the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). Position will provide technical and analytical support primarily related to the physical security of SAP and to additional security support. This position is contingent upon client approval. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSPosition will provide support to the NA-70 SAP for DOE/NNSA special activities. The person will provide technical, analytical, and management support for the following: Provide expertise in all aspects of physical security to include building and designing SAPFs and SCIFs, facility access control, and intrusion detection systems.Conduct physical security compliance inspections in accordance with ICD 705 Technical Specification standards, including: physically inspecting SAPFs and SCIFs including ceilings and floors; reviewing blueprints, floorplans, attending project meetings; conducting design reviews of 30%, 60%, 90%; and attending construction meetings.Create and maintain fixed facility checklists, emergency action plans, SAPF and SCIF floor plans. Conduct facility self-assessments, create and execute corrective action plans to address deficient areas, and coordinate TEMPEST and Technical Security surveys and reports. Provide expert level technical support for the oversight and management of SAP and SCI operations including drafting Program Plans, CI Plans, and OPSEC Plans.Draft responses to Congressional, Inspector General, and Government Accountability Office inquires. Draft annual Congressional reports by creating quad charts, preparing white papers, issue papers, SAP and SCI security related correspondence for Department staff. Draft DOE Directives, Orders, Supplemental and Security Classification Guides, Standard Operating Procedures. Prepare Co-Utilization Agreements (CUA), Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), and Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). Draft, prepare, and present SAP Security training to all personnel with access to SAP and SCI information, and other SAP/SCIF documentation.All other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSCurrent DOE Q or DOD TS security clearanceHigh school diplomaFive years of related experience in a security environment.Excellent communications and customer relations skills PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSCurrent DOE Q security clearanceBachelorandrsquo;s Degree in security or related field7-10 years of related experience in a security environment, preferably in Special Access Programs
