ProSphere Tek Senior Technical Writer/ Editor in Washington, District Of Columbia
ProSphere is seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Writer/Editor to join our team. The primary function of this position is to develop and manage technical processes, policies, workflows, training materials, and standards. The Senior Technical Writer/ Editor will be responsible for collaborating with internal subject matter experts; documenting processes, workflows, and standards; working with security stakeholders to make recommendations and to continuously update program artifacts.This is a full-time position located in Washington, DC. Gather requirements from program personnel, applicable policy, regulations, and best practices to support the development, writing, formatting, and editing of technical and non-technical information for reports, manuals, procedures, processes, briefs, and other forms of documentation.
Deliver knowledge management documentation, including standard operating procedures, to provide detailed guidance for both technical and nontechnical audiences.
Provide technical writing services to include the create knowledge management documents, to include but not limited to SOPs, standard documentation, handbooks, and directives.
Provide technical and editorial review and written feedback and expert opinion on draft cyber/infrastructure security information documents.
Collaborate with other security team members to highlight gaps or concerns with existing processes and standards and to influence the same toward security standards.
Deliver position descriptions and recruitment packages.
Manage tasks assigned within scope, quality, and timeframe allocated with PM supervision.
Bachelor’s Degree in public relations, communications, marketing, computer science, or related field
10+ years of technical writing experience developing IT deliverables including policies, procedures, and after-action reports.
Experience with creating and maintaining information system security documentation and SOPs
Advanced customer service abilities and experience briefing and reporting to senior leadership.
Strong interpersonal skills, with matching verbal and written commination abilities
Advanced proficiency with all MS Office applications, MS Project and/or Visio
Highly organized with good time management skills
Analytical thinker with creative problem solving skills and attention to detail
Familiarity with cybersecurity communications language and subject matter
Experience working with information security frameworks and analysis tools such as the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework
Prior experience in Dept. of Veterans Affairs (or) any US Government Agency.
Ability to work overtime required on occasion
Ability to sit at a workstation for long periods of time
