Atlassian Public Sector Strategic Account Manager in Washington, District Of Columbia

We have over 100,000 customers worldwide, and our Enterprise sales team helps the largest of those accounts in their respective regions scale their investments in Atlassian. This non-traditional, outside sales role will be remote, based in the Washington DC metro area. You will be responsible for building and implementing an effective sales strategy to drive adoptions of our suite of Enterprise Products and Services to our public sector customer base, with a focus on Enterprise License Agreement's (ELAs) for Atlassian largest public sector customers. You will be required to travel and meet face-to-face with Atlassian customers from Program Management all the way up to C Level Executives. We want our Strategic Account Managers to be a champion for our public sector customers, providing critical feedback to our product and engineering teams and helping us optimize our customer experience. All of this is done in tight coordination with our public sector channel partners, product specialists, and marketing organization.

We are looking for self-motivated, team-oriented people to join our team. You are customer focused and creative, an effective communicator in both written and verbal forms, with strong presentation skills. You are excited to be an Atlassian solution evangelist for our government customers, supporting their missions through Atlassian offerings. You love working in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable taking the initiative to get stuff done or try something new, and are effective in communicating results and findings with your team to ensure we all benefit from your knowledge. Perhaps above all else, you are someone who will thrive in an organization that prides itself on a culture of openness, honesty, and integrity.

You have 7+ years experience in enterprise level solution-based sales and familiarity with creating and implementing a wide standardization strategy within the federal market. You have a proven track record of achieving targets and can effectively manage large deal sales cycle, working in conjunction with our government aggregator to maintain a forecast and communicate appropriate expectations to Atlassian's leadership team.

Required Experience

  • 7 or more years of solution selling experience in the Federal Govt

  • Proven track record closing complex six-figure transactions

  • Experience managing key customer relationships and closing strategic sales opportunities

  • Extensive experience utilizing a CRM to manage team performance metrics

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding performance targets

  • Proven ability to make a positive impact outside of an individual role

  • Knowledge working with government procurement and contracting
