IBM Global Business Services (GBS) is seeking to hire a Next Generation Supply Chain - JDA Demand Managing Consultant to join our consulting team - a tremendous opportunity to work with some of the world's most essential companies across a variety of industries.

The JDA Demand Managing Consultant will develop and deliver solutions that leverage JDA technologies uniquely combined with Artificial Intelligence to help solve our client's business challenges as they relate to strategic supply chain design, improved planning & execution systems, optimizing customer service levels, inventory, assets and operational costs. The JDA Demand Managing Consultant will work across consumer products, retail, manufacturing, distribution and other industries that leverage the supply chain.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in pre-sales activities and client assessments

  • Lead work streams within complex supply chain planning engagements including design, development and delivery for JDA demand planning solutions

  • Lead design sessions to drive process design, requirements, configuration, technical architecture and other aspects of projects

  • Provide hands-on leadership to drive key project deliverables including process design, gap analysis, functional and technical design, configuration, integration, data conversion, testing and deployment plans

  • Establish and maintain firm-wide supply chain thought leadership regarding JDA and demand management aspects

  • Provide hands-on direction and contributions to grow intellectual capital and development of other consultants

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • At least 5 years of experience in the design and implementation of JDA Demand and 360, JDA Collaborate, JDA Demand Classification, JDA Dynamic Demand Response and SCPO platform, including driving design sessions, defining requirements, configuration, testing and training

  • At least 5 years of experience working cross functionally to achieve common project and business goals

  • At least 2 years of experience in data analysis, queries and reporting

  • At least 2 years of experience leading and managing teams

  • At least 2 years of experience in the evaluation, selection and implementation of forecasting and planning systems including JDA, SAP APO, Oracle, Logility and similar technologies

  • Experience working in one or more of the following industries: Retail, Consumer Products, Grocery, Food, Manufacturing, Electronics, Industrial Products, Medical Devices / Pharma, Aerospace

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • At least 10 years of experience in Demand Management, including some familiarity and experience to JDA Fulfillment and/or Retail Solutions

  • At least 2 years of experience in a demand planner forecasting role in industry

  • Experience as a consultant, working at a leading supply chain consulting firm

  • Experiencewith statistical forecasting algorithms

  • Experience driving best practices and improving exception management processes, including defining KPIs and measuring performance. Best practices include familiarity with Artificial Intelligence concepts such as demand sensing, backcasting
