Program Overview:
The Bureau of Engraving and Printing’s (BEP's) core mission is to design and manufacture high quality security documents that meet customer's requirements for quality, quantity, and performance as well as counterfeit deterrence. BEP’s major customer is the Federal Reserve System for which BEP produces over 8 billion notes annually within secure printing facilities located in Washington, DC, and Fort Worth, Texas. In addition to U.S. currency, the BEP produces other security documents, such as portions of the U.S. Passports, materials for Homeland Security, military identification cards and Immigration and Naturalization certificates.
The BEP relies on its computer-based systems to support its core business functions. The business functions are as follows; producing currency, printed securities; and support processes such as security, procurement, financial management, product accountability, human resources management, engineering, research, product development, and maintenance. The Bureau Chief Information Officer (CIO) Directorate provides management support for all of the automated systems required to support the Bureau’s manufacturing operations and the activities that support them. These systems include enterprise-wide financial management, manufacturing, and production support systems, as well as, localized systems that relate to or support the Bureau’s operations.
BEP has initiated several enterprise wide projects to provide collaboration sites for all offices (100 +) where all the work-related contents will be stored. All the network shared documents, about 100 TB plus contents, as well as user data (Unknown amount) need to be migrated to the new farm. The team will be responsible for planning, developing and managing these continuous enterprise enhancements.
SUMMARY:
MILVETS is currently seeking to hire one (1) Lead Website Developer with at least seven (7) years’ experience leading a team of developers on new web site development as well as enhancing and supporting existing web sites; preferably on a multi-year government contract.
This individual shall work with the IT Project Managers and end users to help identify requirements.
This individual is also responsible for analyzing requirements and designing and presenting solutions to the business problems.
EXPERIENCE AND CREDENTIALS:
Minimum of 7 years of experience with Web Application Development
The Lead Website Developer must be proficient with using the following COTS products, programming platforms, languages and applications:
Microsoft.Net ( Visual Studio 2010/2013)
HTML5, CSS/CSS3
Azure development toolset for VS
JavaScript, jQuery, AngularJS
InfoPath 2010, 2013 with VSTA
Ruby on Rails programming knowledge will beneficial
Adobe Creative Suite
Content Management Systems
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Social Science, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical disciplines. Master’s Degree strongly preferred
Must have excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
Will be required to undergo and pass applicable background checks, and obtain a Public Trust clearance.
