Jacobs National Security Solutions (NSS) is looking for a Junior Project Management Analyst to join our team. The analyst will be responsible for supporting our Senior Director and Program Management Office (PMO) for a large Federal Agency project.

Duties will include:

  • Compiling and creating Project Reports (periodic and ad hoc to meet internal and external client requirements including Status Reports and monthly reports)

  • Initiating and managing data calls and data collection

  • Developing and or maintaining Project Schedules

  • Supporting development and or maintenance of Budget and Forecast

  • Onboarding and off-boarding of personnel on the project

  • Managing and maintaining an Asset Inventory

  • Supporting Facilities Management

  • Compiling and managing travel estimates and travel requests

  • Managing and maintaining PMO documentation and data resources including SharePoint sites

  • Scheduling meetings and organizing meeting logistics

  • Acting as a liaison to the project team for the PMO and Project Management leadership

  • Interacting daily with the Senior Director, PMO, task managers, and project team members to accomplish assigned duties

Qualifications

  • BA or BS degree in the appropriate discipline from an accredited college or university, plus three (3) to five (5) years of appropriate and progressive experience; additional relevant education may be substituted for progressive experience.

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a corporate or consulting environment

  • Computer proficiency in Windows environment appropriate to position, including advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite and products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneNote, Project)

  • Candidate must be eligible to obtain and maintain a 6C Public Trust clearance

  • Must be a US citizen

Desired Requirements:

  • PMO experience

  • At least 1 year of federal government consulting experience

  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) Certification

  • Attention to detail with good follow-up skills

  • Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills

  • Ability to complete multiple tasks and high volume of work

  • Mature, professional attitude and appearance

  • Ability to adapt to change and remain flexible

  • Openness to continuing learning and upgrading of skills

  • Ability to think things through and see the bigger picture

Essential Job Functions

Physical Requirements:

Most work will be done at a desk or computer. Must be able to lift 20 lbs.

Work Environment:

General Office environment. The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers.

Equipment & Machines:

General office equipment including PC/laptop, Fax, Copiers, Shredder, Printers, Telephone, and other miscellaneous office equipment.

Attendance:

Attendance is critical at all times. Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday. However, times and days may vary depending on business requirements. Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur.
