Jacobs is seeking a Help Desk Systems Administrator with aTS/SCI. This position is located in Washington, DC. Duties will include:
Monitor system performance, configuration, maintenance and repair of program assets and infrastructures
Assists the Help Desk Team Lead and provides deskside technical support to senior leadership and management offices within the Department of Justice
Providescoordination with service desk call-center team lead and may be asked to plan, organize and implement installations, moves as well as to resolve trouble calls and incidents
Resolves trouble calls
Clearance: TS/SCI or current TS with SCI Eligibility
Typicallyrequire two (2) years of college or technical training in a computer field andfour (4) years of directly relatedexperience in a Novell Netware, or NT environment, or a combination ofeducation and relevant experience for a total of six (6) years experience.Progressive relevant training and/orcertification in appropriate discipline may be substituted for one (1) year ofthe education or experience requirement
Experience with Windows desktopadministration (i.e., Windows 7/8/10, MCP, MCSE, etc).
Experience with Active Directoryadministration.
Account administration (Password resets,profile maintenance, user permissions, exchange e-mail issues, etc).
Remote Desktop administration. (i.e. Tivoli; VNC, RDP, etc).
Understanding of networking technologies,cabling, patch-panels, IP subnetting, DHCP, encryption, and Virtual PrivateNetworks.
VMWare/CITRIX applications in support ofvirtualization.
BMCRemedy ITSM system (or similar trouble ticket tracking system)
COMSEC (handling, encryptors, DTDs, etc)
Public Key Infrstrature implementation, administration and mainteance
Industry Certification or training (A , Network , etc) Microsoft or Security desired
General Office environment - The work environment is fast-paced and sometimesinvolves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a highdegree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well asindividuals across the Company and Customers.
Most work will be done at a desk or computer. Must be able to lift 20 lbs.
Equipment and Machines
General office equipment including PC/laptop, Fax, Copiers, Shredder, Printers,Telephone, and other miscellaneous office equipment.
Attendance is critical at all times. Needs to be available to work overtimeduring critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests forovertime should the situation occur.

Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Groomingand dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safetyrisk/hazard to the employee or others. Must be well-organized with the ability to coordinate andprioritize multiple tasks simultaneously. Must work well under pressure to meetdeadline requirements. Must be willing to travel as needed. Must take and passa drug test and background check. Must be a US Citizen
