ABA is currently seeking a Director of Voter Education Fund to serve as part of the core staff within the Political Engagement Division and execute the vision of the Vice President and Chief Political Strategist as it relates to our independent political

activities. The incumbent will develop strategies to ensure the continued growth of the Voter Education Fund. The Director will be responsible for independently managing the day-to-day operations of the program. The ideal candidate must be highly motivated

and have experience leading fundraising and/or political campaigns.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Overseeing and managing all day-to-day activities of the Voter Education Fund, including donations and expenditures

  • In partnership with the Vice President, developing long and short-term fundraising strategies to achieve organizational goals

  • Leading the creation and development of campaigns, solicitations, promotional and educational materials

  • Working with counsel, the accounting team and external vendors to ensure full compliance with all legal requirements, particularly those of the Federal Election Commission and the Lobbying Disclosure

  • Performing election and candidate research and coordinating polling; making recommendations to the VP and Chief Political Strategist

  • Executing political campaigns and advertising in partnership with VP

  • Overseeing logistics for 10-15 member CEO-level advisory council

  • Working across departments to achieve program, departmental and organizational goals

  • Independently managing all aspects of projects and working closely with outside vendors

  • Performing other duties as necessary to achieve departmental goals


  • Bachelor’s degree and five or more years of relevant campaign or political experience

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple issues, projects, tasks and information/requests

  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing political environment

  • Campaign and/or trade association experience

  • Fundraising experience

  • Experience managing vendor relationships

  • Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
