Assistant Project Manager

This role will be responsible for assisting the safe completion of projects within budget, on schedule, to the company's quality standards, and to the customer's satisfaction as well as creating new clients and maintain existing owner relationships.

Essential Functions

  • Prepares monthly cost packages and assumes lead role during meeting

  • Manages Client and Architect relations and communications

  • Manages Subcontractors and Suppliers

  • Manages, prices and negotiates Change Orders

  • Plans and organizes project management staff responsibilities

  • Establishes project objectives and goals

  • Works with the Project Superintendent to control and monitor construction progress

  • Represents the company in project meetings

  • Prepares and maintains project schedule (as assigned)

  • Develops and maintains client and A/E relationships at the project level (business development)

  • Adheres to company safety policies including subcontract and insurance requirements and performing weekly safety walkthroughs

  • Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate project team and direct reports

  • Performs Site Safety Inspections on their projects

  • Assist Project Executives with Project Engineer & Assistant Project Manager reviews (annual and 6 months)

  • Assists in client interviews and project proposals

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 pm. This position regularly requires long hours and weekend work.


Travel is primarily local during the business day. This position is based out of the Milford office and currently covers Boston (North and South), Central MA, and Rhode Island.

Required Education and Experience

  • BS or MS in Construction management or Engineering

  • Management and Leadership experience

  • Strong manager and able to utilize numerous estimating, project management programs, and templates.

  • Willing to learn/follow Consigli methods for standard proposal formats, estimating programs, and project management tools.
