LinkedIn Account Executive, Marketing Solutions Gov in Washington DC, District Of Columbia

LinkedIn is looking for dynamic, strategic, savvy consultative media sales professional to join our advertising sales team. In this role, you will be challenged to not only deliver against numbers, but to lead teammates and develop solutions to company-wide problems.

You are responsible for selling LinkedIn’s digital marketing solutions to the world’s most sophisticated marketers and helping them connect with our audience of success-driven professionals. You’ll be joining a team of experienced online advertising and marketing experts who are developing breakthrough marketing programs, delivering world-class customer service, and achieving LinkedIn’s goal of being the most effective place online for marketers to engage with professionals.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record in online and/or traditional media sales at a top publisher, platform or top-ranked Nielsen/Net Ratings site.


  • Engage and strategise with senior level executives at client companies to demonstrate how LinkedIn can drive revenue to their business

  • Identify and understand trends within client markets and industries

  • Hit target revenue quota

  • Pitch new business to advertising agencies and direct clients

  • Proactively provide smart client research and industry specific information

  • Update and create sales proposals

  • Serve as leader of a “pod” of teammates in order to provide exemplary customer interactions

  • Identify business and process challenges and find creative solutions

Basic Requirements

  • 5+ years of Media and/or Marketing Software Sales experience (B2B background, selling to Government demand generation buyers.

  • BA/BS

Preferred Requirements:

  • 3+ years of Online experience

  • Proven track record of success driving revenue through the development of long-term strategic relationships.

  • Demonstrated track record of structuring and managing complex negotiations to successful closure and delivery

  • Understand how internet advertising technology & Marketing Automation works and the ability to explain in ordinary terms

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced start-up environment
