Headfirst Camps Manager, Graphic Design: 2018-1853 in District Of Columbia

The Graphic Designer for The Headfirst Companies will act as the production/graphic design leader in charge of implementing creative design throughout our marketing and on-site experiences. Our Graphic Designer will use their expertise in design and visual communications to lead creative content development across all The Headfirst Companies' divisions, including our award-winning Summer Camps, our partnerships with 6 MLB teams, and our Honor Roll High School Baseball & Softball Showcases. Responsible for designing and producing print and digital content which drives brand awareness, lead acquisition, business development, and customer engagement, the Graphic Designer will play a pivotal role in guiding the overall brand vision of the organization.

  • Create graphics to meet specific organizational needs, such as onsite materials, displays, print products, electronic products or logos.

  • Collaborate with internal team members on all creative projects and be personally accountable for graphic design development.

  • Infuse the brand designs & elements across the divisions and channels to direct our brand development.

  • Implement creative elements across print, digital and web components along with the support of website management and design elements.

  • Become the internal champion of the brand elements and establish branding guidelines across the organization.

  • Manage projects to budget and schedule.

  • Management and oversite of website maintenance and graphic vision.

  • Proof projects through all stages to obtain internal approvals.

  • Manage work of external partners including freelancers.

  • Take on additional responsibilities and tasks as identified or requested by Headfirst leadership.

  • Bachelor’ s degree or equivalent and minimum of 3 years of professional graphic design experience.

  • Proficiency with common design software such as Adobe Suite.

  • Proven experience working effectively with copywriters, printers, photographers, marketing managers, and other designers.

  • Ability to independently plan production schedules and timelines (including creative process, production, printing, and distribution), effectively managing complex campaigns involving both internal and external stakeholders while meeting all deadlines.

  • Strong and diverse portfolio of work showcasing a variety of experience, concepts, and visual styles (please send link to professional portfolio with resume submission).

  • Knowledge in WordPress and website graphical implementation.
