Daily Responsibilities: This position is not immediately billable, but is reflective of upcoming requirements within our organization
Performs the following activities.
• Supervises the DC Installation team
• Coordinates with SAA and manages installation schedule
• Assigns resources for installation
• Coordinates with Contractor Subject Matter Experts on new products and/or releases
• Maintains consistency of installations and adherence to team and customer standards
• Reports on installations accomplished and service levels achieved
• Develops personnel skill requirements and provides training resources to relevant personnel
• Work is complex and performed without supervision
• Oversee activities involved with installation
• Responsible for installations functions that primary include:
a) Hardware - install new, upgrade, or replace;
b) Software - install new, upgrade, or replace;
c) Move and/or re-install existing equipment in the same office location;
d) Move and re-install existing equipment from one office location to another, either DC-DC, state-state, DC-state, or state-DC;
e) Cable plant management;
f) Reconfigure and/or redeploy equipment;
g) Return to (SAA) stock;
h) Install and configure remote access technology which allows access to the Senate network, including but not limited to: hard token, soft token, Passfaces and air card; and,
i) Upgrade existing Network Operating System and/or services to newer version

Required: Basic Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree or 7+ years of IT related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education, experience and professional certification
• Customer service skill training is required
• Basic technical knowledge of Windows Server 2003, Windows 2000 Server, Windows 2000 Client, Windows XP client, MS Exchange, MS Outlook, HP hardware, LAN/WAN, routing systems, and TCP/IP
