          The Nursing Assistant, certified under the direction of a Registered Nurse performs specialized patient care functions basic and restorative nursing for assigned residents. Contributes observations to Licensed Nurse and other members of the interdisciplinary Treatment/Care Planning Team. Maintains the patient environment in an outcome-oriented, safe, therapeutic, compassionate and cost effective manner. Participates in keeping the unit clean, orderly and functioning efficiently. Participates in unit activities for residents.

          MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

          High School Diploma or GED program is required. Nursing Assistant training and DC certification are required. CPR training is required and/or can be obtained within the first 90 days of employment (BLS for Healthcare Providers is required for all WIS Nursing Assistants andHeartsaver/AED for all others).Ability to read, writes, and communicates fluently in English. Basic life support training/certification is required.
