GDIT is seeking a Training Specialist to provide the personnel and non-personal services required to establish, manage, and operate a training program for approximately 1500 end users.
The candidate will provide training specialists on Monday through Friday from 8:00 am until 5:30 pm for the purpose of creating and developing training as well as facilitating training either in a classroom setting, telephonic, desk side one on one or other activities as approved by the government training management staff.
The successful candidate will perform the following duties:
Research, write and create introductory, mid-level and advanced level course curriculum which includes but is not limited to user guides, tip sheets, computer based training modules and other training materials as required for Division and internal contractor personnel
Provide the government training management staff with training materials to be reviewed and edited in a timely manner. All training material must be approved by the government training management staff prior to use
Maintain a SharePoint list with the completion status of all training materials which have been produced or are currently in production
Coordinate with the government training management staff to generate and maintain the schedule of classes, seminars, and open forums offered to Division personnel on a monthly basis. Training Specialists will not cancel or postpone schedule offerings without prior consent of the government training management staff
Facilitate introductory, mid-level and advanced level in class seminars and orientations, telephonic or desk side one-on-one training and open (ask the trainer) type forums
Provide telephonic or desk side support to users to resolve software related issues and/or answer questions regarding the use of software or computer applications
Bachelors Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work/military experience.
8-10 years of directly related experience in the development and delivery of technical training programs.
Highly knowledgeable in Windows, Microsoft Office, Acrobat and other applications as added by the Division. Computer based training modules are currently being produced in Adobe Captivate. Training specialist should also be knowledgeable in the use of computer equipment, projectors and other accouterments and accessories normally found in a classroom environment.
