          As a Prep Cook, your job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Prepares all food items to order, following standard recipes and procedures within specified time limits. Preps assigned items according to the Prep Lists, Firing Chart and par levels set by management. Communicates withTeam Members and Management throughout the shift. Properly measures and assembles ingredients required for preparing the standard recipes. Cuts and/or portions meat, fish and poultry. Uses scale to ensure proper portioning of food items. Minimizes waste of products. Accepts or rejects ingredients based on quality and quantity. Cleans, organizes, and maintains walk-in refrigerator, reach-in refrigerator, cooler drawers, prep, and dry storage area. Maintains prep area in a clean, sanitary and safe manner. Stocks/restocks items on line according to Team Manager specifications. Rinses and cuts raw food products. Rotates product according to "First In, First Out" to maintain shelf-life standards. Understands and complies with food safety and temperature standards. Notifies a Manager immediately if a Guest is injured or has a complaint. Assists in an entire team effort. All other duties as assigned. ServSafe Certification and Food Handlers Certification Essential Physical Requirements: Daily physical requirements and/or number of pounds that may need to be lifted on the job: Stands during the entire shift. Reaches, bends, squats and lifts. Carries plates, lifts glass racks and boxes weighing up to 50 pounds up to 20 times per shift. Some exposure to smoke, steam, high temperatures and humidity.
