Responsibilities:
•Responsible for designing and implementing solutions for protecting the
confidentiality, integrity and availability of sensitive information for both
internal IT and external customers.
• Provide clients with incident response services to identify, forensically
preserve and mitigate evidence of computer intrusions and breaches.
• Analyze security event data (both user-reported and system-generated) and
determines necessary responsive actions, including performing computer
forensic analysis.
• Conduct manual and automated assessments to evaluate systems and/or networks
for security vulnerabilities, analyze results, and offer recommendations.
• Provide technical support in the areas of risk assessment, vulnerability
assessment, network security, product evaluation, and security implementation
in an environment with 1000+ users, 100+ servers, and multiple geographic
sites.
• Responsible for the deployment, maintenance, and use – or evaluation – of
industry standard information security technology products (such as IDS/IPS,
SIEM/SEM, VPN, forensic tools, and/or vulnerability management, compliance,
penetration testing solutions).
•Provide technical evaluations of customer systems and hands on experience
with security product implementation, for example with logging, intrusion
detection and firewall rules. .
•Conduct security product evaluations and testing, and recommend products,
technologies and upgrades to improve the customer’s security posture.
Qualifications:
*Required Qualifications & Education:
*•At least 5 years of experience as a systems security engineer
•CISSP certification required
•Additional technical or security related certifications are desirable
•5+ years security testing & evaluation auditing, risk assessment, policy and
procedure development
•5+ years supporting Windows and Linux server operations
Preferred Skills:
•May be required to act as a technical supervisor or interim security manager
for clients.
•Competent to work on multiple phases of complex projects independently.
•Ability to develops practical and workable solutions to clients’ technical
and business problems.
•Ability to coordinate activities with superiors and client staff members to
resolve technical and/or business issues and ensures the successful delivery
of the project requirements.
•Full proficiency (no assistance required) with configuration deviation and
vulnerability assessment and management tools (Nessus, Qualys, John the
Ripper, or Acunetix as examples).
•Proficiency using FTK, Encase, Cellebrite or other forensic collection tools.
•BS in Information Technology or related subject area preferred
