SRA recently won the re-compete for this project and the first of five contract years began on September 25, 2012.
Daily Responsibilities: Design and develop complex SP 2010 development solutions demonstrating thought leadership and architecture knowledge on a team of 7. Help manage client expectations.
Work as part of a team on a Management System, a 24x7 mission-critical web application managing grant applications and funding opportunities. The Management System is utilized by over 35,000 users and is a large dynamic project.
As part of a team you will be interfacing with analysts, architects, programmers and the customer. We are currently working multiple high priority initiatives to better incorporate the use of SharePoint across OJP. 1)Key Responsibilities include:
• Design, develop and support custom applications built on Microsoft Office SharePoint Server Moss Platform
• Work with program management team to develop overall scope and implementation requirements
• Advise OCIO on SharePoint best practices, standards, governance, and information management.
• Provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing effective procedures and systems requirements that meet business requirements.
• Work with customers at all levels of technical ability by assisting them in the customization, and definition of SharePoint 2010 sites.
• Coordinate with program security and operations during installation and deployment of hardware and software on the development, test and production environment.
• Perform SharePoint specific duties to assist in the harnessing of disparate SharePoint sites.
• Provide SharePoint guidance and leadership by example on SharePoint best practices Work effectively within a government led partnership between Federal and Contractor staff.

Required: Degree Bachelors
Required: Basic Qualifications Solid experience in SharePoint and .Net development.
Development skills in VB.NET, XML, SQL Server, C# and other .NET programming languages.
Participation in at least two MOSS implementations
Ability to engage, set expectations & influence clients and is a strong team player
Experience with developing customized workflows and have an understanding of Active Directory/LDAP capabilities.
Experience working with software development life cycle, widely accepted development methodologies (e.g. ISO 9001) and client requirements
Familiarity with 3rd Party solutions (i.e. Webparts) that integrate with SharePoint with emphasis on Business Intelligence, KPI, Records Management, Project Management, and Excel Services.

SharePoint implementation and migration experience to include administration and operations
Deep understanding of Sharepoint 2010 and when to employ out of the box configurations vs. custom development. Experienced in analysis and definition of an organization’s information architecture and the design of taxonomies for customer organizations
Three or more years of work experience in a large systems environment. (500+ end users / 10+ servers)
Hands on experience working with Microsoft’s 2010 Office SharePoint Server platform and supporting technologies
Ability to work with business user to provide assessment of developed system in respect to the user’s needs. Also provide training and resolve issues and questions
Experience working with application design principles and product configurations (i.e. SharePoint Central Administrator)
Experience working with (Personal Computers, Application Servers) virtualized servers, scheduling software, and other related technologies
