COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST – Job #S20130516 - Washington, DC
This position will be responsible for processing contributions and disbursements for federal political committees to ensure compliance with FEC regulations and federal campaign finance laws. Will also prepare periodic reports of financial activity to the FEC, and state regulatory agencies as needed. This position requires general knowledge and understanding of federal election statutes and FEC regulations and election activity as well as fluency in standard MS Office applications. Must have strong organization and prioritization skills and the ability to manage time sensitive matters with professionalism and tact as well as superb customer service skills and strong oral and written communication skills. Familiarity with federal election compliance software, preferably NGP software and a general knowledge of a standard bookkeeping application (such as Quicken) is preferred as well a background in accounting. This position requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of I year of relevant compliance experience, or equivalent.
